New baby

I have had the honor of photographing labor/delivery/birth over the last 36 hours. It has been a very emotional experience. What an incredible, loving family the baby was born into! We should all wish for that environment. We have a wedding to capture this afternoon and while I am exhausted, I am quite excited to watch a couple begin their lives together.

What a dog!

What a cool engagement session I had the other evening at the park! Great couple, brought their sheep dog Jackson. He was very well-trained!
I am on edge waiting any day now to photograph labor and delivery for an incredible, loving, friendly family.
On the family side, Mikey started swim lessons this week and has cried both days. Good thing he can't see me sitting behind the glass!

Great meeting

I so enjoyed traveling back to my pro lab last night to be educated, networked, and fed! It was great to place faces with names of folks I have only heard about lately. We met to discuss a super upgrade to our ordering software as well as to our online storefront with PhotoReflect. Great things are a'comin!

Life goes on...

Hi everyone--my oldest started Kindergarten yesterday and he did better than any of us ever imagined. We are so proud of him!
It is unbelievably hot today southwest of Houston, 98 degrees. Glad I don't have any shoots outdoors today! We have engagements Sat evening and it might even rain. My forte is natural lighting outdoors, but I am always at the mercy of the weather. I have had a two-week break from weddings and it's been greatly needed. I have had time to pull myself out from the last four I had in a row and start to get inspired for the next two in a row I have. I am also going to be photographing labor and delivery for a wonderful family in the next few days, a first for me and I am beyond thrilled!

First blog!

How exciting! I enjoy reading what others have been up to in their professional and personal lives, so it's just natural for me to start one of these as well. Think anyone will read it?? ha
