Vegas at night

These were a few of my fav shots from one of the night walks during WPPI 2008 in March. We don't get outside much so getting out and wondering around shooting for my soul was quite fun. Enjoy!
I was just in the right place at the right time for this one!

The image below was taken while walking inside the Paris hotels. They paint these outdoor scenes on all the ceilings in there.

Happy birthday my Zachary!

Hard to believe he's seven today! This photo was from lunchtime at school today.

Sweet newborn-ness

I am sure that isn't a word but it's been a while since my eyes have seen a newborn and oh my, Tyler was so so so good for three weeks old. He settled down into positions easily, slept when needed, and even opened his eyes on occasion. He sure hates to be changed though! Congrats to mommy and daddy. I can't wait to watch him grow up through the lens.

Sarah '08

Sarah was my last 2008 senior!! Can't believe she was #20 and boy, did we go out with an amazing session. She totally knows fashion and color harmony and her jewelry rocked. yay

Wonderful Willie

I can't believe he's a year already...happy birthday big guy! Faith got in on some of the action too out at Cafe' Marjie.

Tripp, urban baby style

I just love color and I love someone that wants to push the envelope and do things a bit differently. It's rare that I do babies out in the urban scene but this really worked minus the high humidity that we suffered through to shoot. It took my lens nearly 15 minutes to defog. haha
I adore that yellow curb image and think it's totally competition worthy!

Austin is 7 months!

Hard to believe this little guy has made it to seven months and has completed a move to his gorgeous new home. These images are definitely competition worthy and captured his many expressions at this point in life. ENJOY

larger versions of my favs

I know I posted a collage further down, but I had to showcase some of my absolute favorite moments complements of these ladies. Enjoy!

the Shabeeb ladies rock the Town Square

What total fun....from the rockin' cute shoes Stephanie wore to the genuine laughs they shared to hoppin' in the showcase window at Kiss Kiss...I really enjoyed stepping out the box for a while. The girl that had a fear of mannequins got in that window ANYWAY! You go girl!

Georgeous afternoon in Richmond

Well we still had winds but I can promise the speed was slower. It was a great evening with such a beautiful young lady, inside and out. Best of luck this fall at school! It was very cool to see Kodiak so clean and shiny. haha

Alberta at Cafe' Marjie in Booth

I am just loving this place more and more everytime I head out there. I still haven't used all the areas I want to. Alberta is so sweet and was willing to try anything I asked of her. She got great results because she was up for the challenge!

Jennifer '08

We are so glad we waited until the weather was better. Having sunshine and somewhat of a breeze really makes a difference in the session as a whole. I would miss doing the sunglasses against the blue sky image!

Sara & Jacob

It warms my heart to know that these two chose me to photograph their big day. I met Sara a couple of year's ago when photograping my editor's (Crystal & Doug's) wedding.
They are so in love and so comfortable around each other. I had the honor of photographing her bridals at Paraiso Maravilla just a few days ago too and wow, was she ever a knock out. Can't share those images until the wedding day though!

Sweet Avery...

Refuse to say cheese and more artistic moments will come. I added a mocha tone, a warm colored gauze layer over the entire image, and brushed on some writing on the wall. Hope you guys can see all the designwork. This one is grounds for being inducted into the Society of C...coming late summer.
I have had the joy of watching this family grow over the last three years now!

Marla & Brian

George Ranch and Morton St in Richmond were the locations for this beautiful engagement session. It was so good to see these two lovebirds again. Sometimes months can go by from the time we book a wedding to the time we get to photograph engagements. I really liked her strappy black shoes, even though the straps seemed to have a mind of their own!

Dusty & Melissa

These two were SO much fun....dancing in the streets of the Town Square and then climbing on combines and through the corn fields in El Campo. I truly enjoy people who crave both city and country life. So well balanced and most importantly, the ones who take chances get images that others just talk about.
Can't wait for the wedding day!

Clouds and drizzle but very fun

Kamela was such a good sport. We had wind (again), total clouds, and even slight drizzle Thursday night but she knew how to shine through it all. I had a great time getting to know mom and dad and watch her be herself with her sister.

What every little girl dreams of...

WOW...this was a step out from the norm for me and I am so glad I did it. It was odd to pose these beautiful little girls like adult women and fluff gowns and fix bouquets. They held their poses so well and mom will have more than one reason to be proud of these memories.
They want to place these images next to their bridal images one day, hopefully with a wedding at Briscoe Manor.
Don't know if you can see the reason why I took the largest photo in the center (the sepia one)...this is obviously a reflection but the ladies are on the alter on each side of the cross. Such a powerful, artistic moment that I would hang on my wall as art!

Allison & Brett

What a great evening these two had for engagements in Sweeney! I had a ball with them and I know the wedding day will be even more fun.
